Olympus XA
Photographer: Tommy Oshima
In addition to that sharp little Olympus, Tommy had with him a fresh copy of a DVD documentary on Daido Moriyama which he produced: Kiroku, Movie in London.   This film, released by Euphonic, focuses on Moriyama’s experiences in London during his show with William Klein at the Tate Modern.  While in England Tommy took a mighty fine image of this legendary photographer which you can see here.
The 46min long DVD is actually an addition to Moriyama’s ongoing RECORD (Kiroku /記録)series of photobooks.  Akio Nagasawa Publishing continues to release new issues  collecting Moriyama’s recent work- the books are not only well done but also readily available in the Japan Exposures bookshop.  This DVD is available at NADiff gallery in Tokyo or amazon.jp.
